Join Ignite Open Source (IOS) for the Nepali Bias Data Collection Sprint 2026, a one-day collaborative competition taking place on July 29, 2026 at Pulchowk Campus. Throughout the sprint, participants will help build a high-quality, real-world Nepali dataset for AI research and content moderation.
AI is only as fair as the data it’s trained on. Build the Future of Nepali AI. Instead of generating synthetic examples, participants will collect and annotate authentic Nepali text across multiple bias categories working toward predefined category-wise targets. The dataset created during this competition will be merged into a published research dataset on Hugging Face, with contributor recognition provided to participating teams. The open dataset will be used for future research and benchmarking to support Nepali NLP and AI fairness research.
