As the FY 2081/82 ended, the preparation of financial statements may be challenging due to the mandatory implementation of Nepal Accounting Standards (NAS) for Not-for-Profit Organizations (NPOs).
Initially approved by the Accounting Standards Board, Nepal, in 2075, the NAS for NPOs standards were later announced by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) to be optional (except for INGOs) in FY 2080/81 and mandatory starting from FY 2081/82 (Shrawan 2081). So being ready before the execution of the amended standards will be beneficial in this competitive landscape.
