Epoch Zero – AI Safety Nepal Fellowship is a 5-week discussion program designed to help participants understand the risks and opportunities of advanced AI. Together, participants read core texts, examine key debates and explore the question: How do we ensure increasingly capable AI systems remain aligned with human values?
Whether you're new to AI safety or already familiar with the field, the fellowship provides a structured environment to learn, discuss and engage with others interested in the future of AI. The program will also feature guest lectures from AI safety researchers and governance practitioners.

• 5 weeks of self-paced reading on AI safety

We welcome participants from diverse backgrounds, including:

• Any other discipline
Both students and professionals are encouraged to apply. The fellowship is specifically looking for interdisciplinary perspectives.
• Approximately 2 hours per week for in-person discussion sessions
• The fellowship runs for 5 consecutive Sundays from 16 August to 13 September 2026
• Participants must attend at least 4 out of 5 sessions
• Sessions will be held in person on Sundays at Sunway College, Maitidevi
• Applicants are encouraged to check for any conflicting commitments (exams, travel, holidays, weddings or vacations) before applying due to the limited number of seats
